One can see the state animal of Maharashtra Giant Squirrel in local language known as “Shekru.” In Monsoon , Bhorgiri to Bhimashankar is the perfect trek for Beginners, Nature Lovers, and Photographers. It’s a plain Jungle walk of around 3 Hours which ends at “Gupta Bhimashankar”. One has to pass the Streams & waterfall to reach the Bhimashankar Temple.

At RAAHI OUTDOORS AND HOLIDAYS, we understand that plans can change. However, we incur costs and make arrangements in advance for every trek. Hence, our cancellation policy is as follows:

 Cancellation by Participant:
▪️More than 4 days before trek start time:
👉 Full refund or 100% transfer to another trek (subject to availability)

▪️ 3 days before trek start time:
👉 50% refund or 75% transfer to another trek

▪️ 2 days before trek start time:
👉 25% refund. No transfer

▪️ Less than 24 hours before trek start time Or No-show on the day of trek:
❌ No refund. No transfer

👉If a participant cancels and the insurance has already been processed, INR 100 will be deducted from the refund amount

 Cancellation by RAAHI:
If the trek is cancelled by us due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g, bad weather, government restrictions,locals or insufficient participants), you will be given:

▪️An option to reschedule or join another trek of similar value

 Rescheduling Policy:

Kalsubai (Marathi: कळसूबाई शिखर)Kalsubai Peak is the highest peak in Maharashtra, India, with an elevation of 1,646 meters (5,400 feet) above sea level. It is located in the Western Ghats, within the Ahilyanagar district, and is part of the Kalsubai-Harishchandragad Wildlife Sanctuary. It is titled the 'Everest of Maharashtra'. It is visited throughout the year by avid trekkers, Kalsubai temple devotees and wild-life enthusiasts. The Summit provides a modest area of flat land which holds a sacred temple of a local deity 'Kalsai'. Local legend says that Kalsubai was a housemaid residing in a nearby village. She is believed to have disappeared near the mountain while trying to escape her employer's relentless torment. This lends the mountain its current name as well as a reason for this temple to be built in her fond memory.

Naneghat is an ancient mountain pass in the Sahyadri (Western Ghats) near Junnar, Maharashtra. WaghBil - Offbeat Jungle & Waterfall Trek

♦ 10:00 PM: Departure from Pune with pickups on the route

♦ 3.30 AM: Reach at base village. Rest in bus or local home for some time

Tung Fort, also known as Kathingad, is a steep, conical hill fort in Maharashtra near Pawna Lake. The trek starts at Tungwadi village, takes 1 to 1.5 hours, and features vertical climbs and narrow pathways that reward you with panoramic 360-degree views of the surrounding Sahyadri ranges.

Chandan Fort & vandan fort is located in Satara District. This fort is situated on a hilly spur from the main ridge of Sahyadri. This fort is frequently visited by trekkers and pilgrims. The villages at the base are rich in sugarcane and other cultivation. The Chandan and Vandan are adjacent forts. The trek to both the fort can easily be completed in a day.

Pandavgad Fort (4,177 feet) is a historically rich, privately owned hill fort in Maharashtra's Satara district, just 50 km from Pune. Built by Shilahara king Bhoja II, it later passed to the Adilshahi dynasty, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, and the British. The moderate 2-hour trek starts from base villages like Gundewadi or Menavali.

Harihar fort / Harshagad is a fort located in the Triambakeshwar mountain range against the huge Vaitarna dam. It appears to be rectangular in shape from its base village, Nirgunpada, and is located on top of a triangular massif with all the three sides being vertical and hence naturally fortified. There is only one access to the fort through a 200 feet high rock cut staircase inclined at 80 degrees. It is one of the most adventure trek in rainy season which doubles up the adventure. It takes 2-3 hours to reach the top from base village. The ascents are truly wonderful – picturesque beauty of the valley playing hide and seek as we gain height. Each turn that we take gives a different glimpse of the surrounding paddy fields, the winding Vaitarna, the distant hills veiled by thin clouds. The climb to the fort has intermittent plateaus which offer a resting place to the trekkers and a chance to breathe in the beauty of the silent valley.
