From a WhatsApp Trekking Group to a Full-Service Travel Company
Raahi Outdoors didn’t start as a company. It started as a way to get friends off their phones and onto a trail — a small group exploring the forts and hills of the Sahyadris together, one weekend at a time, since 2015.
Those local treks were the beginning, not the whole plan. Sahyadri weekend treks grew into domestic group tours, which led into Himalayan treks, then Ladakh bike trips, and today fully customized tour packages, both domestic and international, built around the traveller rather than picked off a shelf.
None of this happened overnight, and we’re not pretending it did. Raahi has grown slowly and steadily — one good trip, one happy traveller, one referral at a time. We were formally registered as Raahi Outdoors & Holidays Private Limited in 2020, but the story, and the trust, started years earlier on a trail in the Sahyadris.

Who We Are
Raahi Outdoors & Holidays was founded in 2015 by Abhijeet Vishwakarma, with the unwavering support of his close friends Manoj Hande, Amol Dale and Suresh Mandage. What began with a shared passion for the Sahyadri mountains has grown into one of Pune's most trusted adventure travel communities.
No story of Raahi would be complete without Mrs. Pratima Sonawane, Director of Raahi Outdoors & Holidays. Her constant encouragement and belief have been the foundation of this journey — through every challenge and milestone, she has helped make Raahi what it is today.
Over the years we've grown from weekend treks in the Sahyadris to curating experiences across India and abroad. Our offerings expanded, but our values didn't: we prioritise quality over quantity, and every enquiry, every traveller and every journey is treated with the care it deserves — from your first phone call until you safely return home.
