It's time to visit the king of forts! Harishchandragad is a historic hill fort located in the Ahilyanagar district of Maharashtra. Harishchandragad has a rich history dating back to the medieval period, with various dynasties ruling over it which includes the Maurya's, Marathas, and Mughals.
It played a significant role in the region's history as a strategic fort. The top of the fort offers breath taking view of the mighty KOKANKADA and surrounding mountain range. The Taramati peak which is the second highest peak of Maharashtra is also located at this fort.
