The Hampta Pass Trek is one of the most popular and scenic treks in India, located in the Himachal Pradesh region. It is known for its breathtaking views, diverse landscapes, and relatively moderate difficulty level, making it accessible for both beginner and intermediate trekkers. The trek spans across diverse terrains, from lush green valleys and alpine meadows to stark, barren landscapes of the higher altitudes, offering an exciting and varied experience.

  • Itinerary (Day Wise)
    • DAY 1 - ARRIVAL IN DELHI | DELHI - MANALI OVERNIGHT JOURNEY
      ♦ Reach Delhi in day time
      ♦ Meet us at Kashmiri gate by 8 pm
      ♦ We will catch our volvo bus for Manali
      ♦ Continue overnight journey to Manali

    • DAY 2 - REACH MANALI | EXPLORE
      ♦ Reach Manali early morning
      ♦ Check-In to the hotel and rest for the day
      ♦ Late afternoon you can explore Manali and mall road for shopping
      •       Bus
    • DAY 3 - MANALI - PRINI - JOBRA - CHIKKA
      ♦ We will start our journey early morning from Manali. We board our vehicles and head to Jobra, the starting point of our trek
      ♦ We drive till Prini and cross the AD Hydro Project compound, continuing along the winding road to reach Jobra. From here, we begin our trek through pine and fir forests, with rivers and mountain ranges in the vicinity
      ♦ The trek will take a couple of hours until we reach Chikka. We set up camp here and retire for the night
      ♦ Meal and overnight stay in camps at Chikka
      
      Note: Participants arriving by bus on same day will be received by members of our team at Manali Bus stand

    • DAY 4 - CHIKKA - BHALU KA GHERA (5HRS TREK)
      ♦ From Chikka, we begin our climb and trek through a rectangle shaped valley covered with tiny bright flowers
      ♦ Once we cross the valley, greenery diminishes and we begin to touch the snowlines and rocky terrain
      ♦ A few hours of trekking get us to Bhalu ka Gera, named after the bears that are sometimes seen here
      ♦ We settle down here for the night
      ♦ Meal and overnight stay in camps at Bhalu Ka Ghera
      •       Breakfast, Lunch, Tea, Dinner
    • DAY 5 - BHALU KA GHERA - HAMPTA PASS - SHIAGORU (8HRS TREK)
      ♦ After breakfast, we head to the highlight of our trek, the Hampta Pass
      ♦ As we progress, the distinct barren landscape of Lahaul Valley becomes evident
      ♦ The trail through the snow covered Hampta Pass is gradual and comfortable, with a steep descent at the end
      ♦ Once we descend, we reach the Rani River and head to our campsite nearby at Shiagoru
      ♦ Meal and overnight stay in camps at Shiagoru
      •       Breakfast, Lunch, Tea, Dinner
    • DAY 6 - SHIAGORU - CHATTRU - CHANDERTAL - CHATTRU (3HRS TREK , 2 HRS DRIVE)
      ♦ Today is the last day of trekking as we descend from Shiagoru and follow the river until we reach Chattru
      ♦ A panoramic view of the inner Himalayan ranges comes into view during this part of the trek. At Chattru, we take a break before boarding our vehicles to visit the Chandratal Lake
      ♦ The beautiful crescent shaped high altitude lake is a testament to the awe inspiring beauty that nature can offer
      ♦ After spending some time here, we drive back to our campsite and retire for the night
      ♦ Meal and overnight stay in camps at Chattru
      •       Breakfast, Lunch, Tea, Dinner
    • DAY 7 - CHATTRU - MANALI (6HRS DRIVE)
      ♦ We return to Manali today, crossing the beautiful Atal tunnel
      ♦ Will get off at Manali town, where you can spend time shopping or sightseeing before catching evening bus back to Delhi

    • DAY 8 - EARLY MORNING REACH DELHI
      ♦ Early morning reach Delhi and catch our train/flight back to our home with lots of happy memories

    Tour Information
    • Accommodation – You will be staying in lodge/hotel at Manali(Day 2) and in tents on remaining days of the trek (3 person/tent). Room/tent is separate for male and female participant
    • Meals – (Breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner). We provide simple, nutritious Veg/Jain food on all days of the trek
    • Trekking equipment – High quality tents and sleeping bags in all the camps. Sleeping bags can withstand temperatures as low as -10 ºC
    • Safety equipment – First aid kit, oxygen cylinders, oximeter etc. will be with guide/trek leader and at campsite as well to deal with emergencies
    • Expert trek Leaders – All our trek leaders are at least qualified in basic / advanced mountaineering and first aid course
    • Expert Trek support team – The mountain staff on this trek consists of certified guides, cooks, helpers and porters
    • Camping charges – All trekking permits and forest camping charges are included
    • Gaiters – To prevent snow from entering inside your shoe
    • Micro spikes - Helps you walking on hard snow terrain

    RULES & REGULATIONS


    If this trek/tour is cancelled due to Govt. restrictions/Natural calamity

    • In case the tour gets cancelled because of Government regulations/restrictions or natural calamities or any other reason beyond our control, we shall arrange for alternative treks or tours to a different place or your paid amount shall be carry forwarded to any of our future treks or tours. If the participant is unwilling to go for the alternative tour/trek, there would be no refund or voucher issued for this tour. All the services have to be arranged beforehand and cannot be shifted to any other date
    • In case of tour cancellation due to Government regulations/restrictions or natural calamities, the participant wishes to get a refund, the amount will be refunded
    • If the participant wishes to return before the trip ends, they shall have to bear all the expenses for accommodation and meals at their respective or any other place. The services on the tour are arranged even if they go unused


    In Case of Injury / Casualty

    • All participants acknowledge that trekking and outdoor tours carry inherent risks. By registering, clients accept full responsibility for their own safety, health, and behavior during the event
    • In the event of an accident or injury, our team will provide first aid and arrange for evacuation if required. Any associated costs (ambulance, medical treatment, transport, etc.) will be borne by the participant
    • RAAHI Outdoors and our leaders shall not be held responsible for any injury, loss, or damage arising from accidents, natural events, or the actions of third parties during the tour/trek
    • No money shall be refunded in case a person is rescued and brought back to the base camp before the said date
    • P.S. We are only liable to offer the services mentioned as per the itinerary and inclusions


    Unused Services

    • No show for the tour/trek will be non-refundable


    IMPORTANT NOTES

    • Any extra transfers required during the tour will be charged extra
    • Kid's discount is applicable from 5 to 12 years of age
    • No charges for kids below 5 years, except a separate seat charges in the bus
    • Anything that is explicitly not mentioned in the inclusions and optional as suggested in the itinerary, is not a part of this package
    • Images shown about the place, city, attractions, etc. are for illustration purposes only and may not be the same as those linked to the itinerary or services provided
    • Cost and consequences arising due to any forced major situations including but not limited to unforeseen circumstances like; natural calamities, political disturbances, health issues, flight delays / Cancellations, things beyond our control, etc. will have to be borne by the guest
    • Participants who would like to stay back at the destination or transit will have to bear the additional expenses on their own
    • All participants are required to sign a Consent form before the trek begins, confirming they understand and accept the risks involved
