Torna Fort, also known as Prachanagad, is a large fort located in Pune district, in the Indian state of Maharashtra. It is historically significant because it was the first fort captured by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in 1646, at the age of 16. The hill has an elevation of 1,403 metres (4,603 ft) above sea level, making it the highest hill-fort in the district. The name derives from Prachanda (Marathi for huge or massive) and gad (Marathi for fort).

The panoramic views of the surrounding hills and valleys, now shrouded in the serenity of the night, are awe-inspiring. The cool mountain air and the sense of accomplishment make the journey worthwhile. Will have campfire, share stories. fun activities. 🔸 As per our convinience one can take a sleep. 🔸 Morning 6 AM, wake up to experience on of the most beautiful sunrise. Capture this moment as it will have lifetime memory. 🔸 After sunrise, have breakfast and get ready to start our fort exploration. 🔸 Visit Budhla Machi, Zunjar Machi, Menghai Temple and many more 🔸 Start descending by 11 AM. 🔸 Reach parking point, move towards base village. 🔸 Have Lunch at base village. 🔸 Start return journey to Pune with sweet memories of trek. 🔸 Reach Pune by 04.00 pm (+/- 1hr)
